The Google Nexus One was given the grace of a market head start but its no longer standing lonely at the top. And even if it looks like a brotherly reunion, the HTC Desire is in fact a formidable rival. Thats between HTC and Google though. Users have hardly reasons to complain.
As to the differences, the HTC Desire seems to get the upper hand but its not just quite as capable as promised. read more →

- No DivX and XviD video playback
- No voice dialing
- Non hot-swappable memory card
The Desire is yet another fine piece of work from HTC – build quality is top notch as usual, and there's little to complain about the software except for the Flash performance. In short, this is a phenomenal phone - one of the best we've ever had on TechRadar. Usually when we like a phone on the first use, we end up horribly disappointed after a little time with it, but the HTC Desire kept on performing and achieving when we thought it wouldn't.
The screen is lovely, the design is slick and processor makes everything happen in a flash - all you'd want from a smartphone. read more →

Let's get back to what we said at the beginning. „The HTC Desire runs the famous Sense interface and this is the major software difference to the Nexus One.” ...and its operational speed.. „Speaking of operational speed and specifications, we just have to admit the HTC Desire is lighting fast. „As a whole, the camera of the HTC Desire is acceptable for daily use and allows for instantaneous sharing of images over social networks.” „Unfortunately, the device does not support DivX and Xvid, so you will have to make do with you MPEG-4 (H.264 and H.263) files. read more →
