BlackBerry Bold 9900 review: Business reimagined

More screen resolution and power than BlackBerry owners know what to do with? Certainly not. Its more than theyre used to though and that makes the Bold Touch 9900 a very attractive upgrade option.

And just to be clear  were not questioning the latest of the Bolds. Were not playing down its role and potential. Were simply looking for things that can threaten its relationship with the core user base. Frankly, we cant find any. read more →

RIM BlackBerry Bold 9900 (T-Mobile)

The BlackBerry Bold 9900 is sleeker and faster than before, but otherwise it's still more of the same, instead of the revolution Research In Motion desperately needs. read more →

  • Thin, sleek design
  • Excellent QWERTY keyboard
  • Sharp screen.

Finally some top-end specs. Has BlackBerry ripened with age?

It's hard not to recommend the Bold 9900, because here we have a fantastic piece of kit that we can confidently describe as RIM's best BlackBerry to date. That's saying something, because the manufacturer has pumped out some cracking handsets over the years.

Yes, we're dismayed by the lack of a decent camera and slightly disappointed about the web browsing experience, but all of this is irrelevant if you're just buying this as a messaging device, which many people will. And if email is your bag, you can't do any better. read more →

    • Slimmest BlackBerry ever
    • 8GB of built in memory
    • Amazing screen clarity
    • Proven reliability of email
    • NFC capable
    • OS 7 not much better than OS 6
    • No Flash video
    • Camera snaps could be better
    • Social networking could be better integrated
    • Function buttons are fiddly

    RIM BlackBerry Bold 9900 Review

Just by looking at the handset, it embodies all the qualities you want with a premium smartphone – like its razor sharp looks, solid construction, and premium materials. However, we’re not fans of the $299.99 on-contract price that T-Mobile is asking for since its hardware specs and platform experience pale in comparison to some of its rivals. Unless you can find it priced considerably less through one of the many online discount retailers out there, we’d suggest investing your hard-earned money on something that’s going to be of more value – say like the HTC Sensation 4G. read more →

    • Lovely looking design
    • One of the best keyboards around
    • Responsive platform experience
    • Fast data speeds
    • Way too expensive
    • Sub-par photo & video capture
    • Dated & boring looking OS

    BlackBerry Bold 9900 review (T-Mobile)

BlackBerry enthusiasts will love the BlackBerry Bold 9900, but its high price tag will be a deterrent to many. read more →

    • The RIM BlackBerry Bold 9900 has a very polished design, with a svelte form factor, a sharp touch-screen display, and a wonderful QWERTY keyboard. Notable features include a 1.2GHz processor, the new BlackBerry OS 7, 720p HD video recording, and NFC support. Photo quality is excellent.
    • The BlackBerry Bold 9900's call quality is slightly flawed. It's also very expensive when compared with similar handsets.

bold 4 did i get it right ?

I being a BB fan i was waiting and saving for BB10, but have always been attracted toward bold 4, only the battery was holding me back. Anyways i went ahead and bought it, and i must say it is a nice upgrade to my 9780. Receding battery is the main disappointment. Rest I am pretty much happy with my decision. I hope BB10 is so good that I regret buying my bold 4 anyways gonna get that even. blackberry for life....

    • so many that i can't point it out, so i'll just stick with the cons, rest are pros.
    • 1. BATTERY LIFE (hope bb does not repeats the same wid bb 10 ).
    • 2. no auto focus.
    • 3. just one convenience key.
    • 4. slim body sometimes is a big inconvenience when typing while lying on back
