In terms of hardware, design and specs, the Liquid E is no match whatsoever for the top ranked iPhone 4 and HTC Desire phones, but is a capable second-tier player that can definitely compete with the likes of the Nokia N900 and Motorola Dext phones.
It's nowhere near as good as the Xperia X10, Palm Pre Plus, HTC Legend or Dell Streak handsets, either. read more →

The Acer Liquid E has a good touchscreen and offers speedy performance, but it's let down by its plasticky finish. Overall, the Acer Liquid E impresses with its speedy performance, responsive capacitive screen and good range of connectivity options. Its design is something of a letdown, though. read more →
- Supports multitouch
- fast processor
- good connectivity.
- Plasticky design
- wider than most touchscreen phones.
We’re not overly keen on the Liquid E’s design as it’s a little too plasticky and a tad too wide for our liking. However, if you can get past the design issues you’ll find a very capable handset with a fast processor, great capacitive screen and good all-round specification. At present, we think it’s priced a little too high in comparison to the likes of the HTC Legend, but if the price falls soon it may be worth serious consideration. read more →
Though it's a decent Android phone, the Liquid E struggles to stand out in a sea of excellent new Android-powered products.
Acer's Liquid E is not a fun-looking phone, but it has the processing performance to match its business attire. Though this phone handles Android and its basic suite of tools extremely well, our issues with the touchscreen, and the just-passable performance of the camera and battery makes it hard to recommend this Acer against the swell of other excellent Androids on offer at this time. read more →
