In India, the YouTube Premium Annual Plan is available for ₹1,159. This won’t be automatically renewed after the 12 months period. So, you will have to manually renew it.

Clearly, from the above table, the annual YouTube offer looks lucrative. However, they may last till January 23 only. YouTube is yet to reveal its plans past that deadline.

Now, joining the new YouTube plans is easy for a new customer. You sign up and choose the annual plan you prefer. That’s it.

But, for an existing premium YouTube or YouTube Music subscriber, the migration isn’t that simple. As the official support page mentions, to change your membership type, you will have to first cancel your existing subscription and then sign up for the new annual premium membership. I fall in this category and at the time of writing this, I haven’t been able to switch. Even after canceling my current plan, YouTube wasn’t letting me into its new annual subscription. We will keep you posted on any updates on this.
