Expanding the X100 series, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo will launch two new smartphones: X100s and X100 Ultra. Out of the two, the former has appeared on popular benchmarking platforms, revealing its overall performance score. Here’s what the Vivo X100s’ Antutu and Geekbench listing reveal about its processor and performance.
Vivo’s Product Manager Publishes Benchmark Scores
Interestingly, the benchmark scores don’t come from a leakster or a publication. Instead, the company’s product manager has shared them on the Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. In other words, these are the first official benchmark scores of the purported Vivo X100s.
Vivo X100s Beats Vivo X100 On Antutu Benchmark
In comparison with the Vivo X100, which scores about 2 million points on the Antutu benchmark, X100s scores about 2.3 million points, which is a significant jump. On Geekbench, the upcoming smartphone scores 2,213 points in the single-core and 7,743 points in the multi-core score.
Vivo Has Made Some Modifications To The Dimensity 9300+ SoC
It is important to mention that the Vivo X100s is expected to arrive with the MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ SoC, an overlocked version of the regular Dimensity 9300 SoC. With respect to the new processor, the product manager wrote about improving the AI capabilities, too. However, exactly what type of AI features the company is talking about and whether they’ll arrive in the older models isn’t known yet.
Vivo X100 Ultra To Offer Slower Charging Speed Than X100
Talking about the Vivo X100 Ultra, the Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has spotted the smartphone on the 3C certification website. In the database, the handset is listed as model number V2366GA. Per the listing, the phone could have an 80W wired charging speed lower than the regular X100 and X100 Pro.
Although the smartphone will feature 5G connectivity, there could be a model supporting satellite connectivity.
Vivo X100s And X100 Ultra Release Date
At this point, Vivo hasn’t announced an official release date for the upcoming smartphones. Previously, the X100 Ultra was scheduled to arrive in April 2024, but the company seemed to have delayed the launch. Based on current speculation, Vivo will launch the X100 Ultra and the X100s together at an event that might take place in May 2024.
