Google Pixel Watch

This was one of the most anticipated products that were expected to be showcased during the I/O 2022. Google has confirmed that its first Pixel watch will debut later this year. It has a round dial with a crown on the side. The smartwatch is made of recycled stainless steel and supports customizable straps.

The Pixel Watch will run Google’s WearOS which claims to give seamless performance and connectivity. There is an integration with Google Assistant. Apps like Google Maps and Google Wallet can directly be used on the watch and it will also support NFC payments.

Google recently acquired Fitbit and is making most of this acquisition in the Pixel Watch. The Pixel Watch will come with a bunch of health and fitness features like heart rate and sleep tracking. More about the watch will be known soon as its launch inches closer.

Google AR Glasses

This was the last for Day 1 but it was definitely a surprise. Google has announced its upcoming AR Glasses that will come with killer features. Google showed its key feature as the ability to see languages translated right in front of your eyes. Live translating would surely be a killer move. A prototype of AR glasses was shown during the event.

A recorded video showed this feature wherein language was getting translated with the help of the AR glasses in real time in one’s line of sight. The company has not given any timeline for its launch, but these AR glasses did paint a unique picture of the AR future. Even during his keynote, Google CEO Sundar Pichai claimed how the company views AR and how AR can exist in many places that are not a smartphone.
