Force Motors is back with another exciting teaser for its upcoming Gurkha SUV.  Yes! You read it correctly, last month after giving us a glimpse of the car, the company has now getting ready to unveil not just one, but two new models. That’s right – along with a brand new 5-door version, they’re also refreshing the beloved 3-door model. It’s a big deal because the 3-door Gurkha was discontinued back in April 2023 due to some tough regulations. Nevertheless, it’s making a comeback, and fans couldn’t be more thrilled. Stay tuned as Force Motors gets ready to reintroduce the Gurkha lineup with some exciting updates.

Force Gurkha 2024 Teaser Video

The latest teaser shared by the company gives us a sneak peek at the design of the upcoming 5-door Gurkha SUV, and it’s got some cool new details. While it keeps the round headlamps and small DRL blocks from before, it still rocks that classic boxy look we all love. Plus, there are some minor tweaks expected for the 3-door version.

Alongside, the video teaser also confirms the redesigned alloy wheels – they’re likely to measure around 17 inches and sport squared wheel arches. Plus, the teaser gives us a glimpse of some practical accessories like a rear ladder and a roof rack featuring a jerry can holder. And let’s not forget the signature snorkel, adding to the SUV’s rugged charm. Can’t wait to see how it all comes together for this adventure-ready ride.

While talking about the interiors, the teaser does revealed that the Gurkha 3-door will arrive with seating arrarangment inspired from the predecessor. On the other hand, the 5-door varaint is more likely to offer more versatility. Anticipate various seating layouts, including three rows. In the middle row, expect a conventional bench seat to replace the individual seats found in the 3-door version. For the third row in a three-row layout, captain seats could be an option.

Expected Powertrain

The upcoming Gurkha 5-door is set to pack a punch with its reliable 2.6-liter, four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. You can expect it to churn out a respectable 91 horsepower and a torque of 250 Newton-meters, giving it the oomph needed for various terrains. When it comes to driving options, buyers will have the choice between rear-wheel drive and 4×4 configurations. And for those serious off-road adventures, the 4×4 version will come equipped with locking differentials on both axles, ensuring you can tackle even the toughest trails with confidence.

The reintroduction of both the 3-door and 5-door versions of the Gurkha marks Force Motors’ bold return to the market stage. With the 3-door variant targeting competitors like the Mahindra Thar, which is currently on its way out, and the 5-door model gearing up to take on forthcoming contenders like the Thar 5-door, Force Motors is making it clear they’re ready to compete head-on. Keep an eye out, as both versions are expected to hit the market in the coming weeks.
