On Monday, Aston Martin officially launched India’s most-awaited sports car, Vantage. Priced at Rs 3.99 crore (ex-showroom) before options, this latest offering from the iconic British automaker promises to redefine the driving experience for fans nationwide.
The redesigned Vantage makes a bold statement with its updated exterior. Sporting a wider grille, revamped bumper, and revised headlamps, the new fascia exudes a sense of power and sophistication.
The redesigned vents behind the front wheels and the new bumper with redesigned air vents at the back add to its allure. Completing the look, the Vantage sits atop 21-inch satin silver alloy wheels as standard, ensuring a commanding presence on the road.
The new Vantage has undergone a major interior makeover, featuring a fresh design and updated technology that sets it apart from its predecessor. Inside, you’ll find a sleek center console housing a new 10.35-inch touchscreen infotainment system, similar to the one in the DB12.
They’ve also given all the buttons and switches a facelift for a more refined look and feel. And for the driver, there’s a new digital instrument cluster and a redesigned steering wheel, adding to the modern vibe of the cabin.
Powertrain And Top-Speed
Beneath the surface, the most significant upgrade lies in the engine department. The 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 has been meticulously reworked, boosting its output by an impressive 153 bhp and 115 Nm compared to the previous Vantage V8.
It means a total power output of 656 bhp and 800 Nm, propelling the car from 0 to 100 kmph in a claimed 3.5 seconds, with a blistering top speed of over 325 kmph.
To put this into perspective, the outgoing Vantage V12 boasted 690 bhp and 753 Nm, achieving a top speed of 322 kmph. Alongside the engine enhancements, the suspension setup has been revised to enhance agility, ensuring a dynamic driving experience.
Steel disc brakes at all four corners bring this powerful machine to a halt. It also features carbon ceramic brakes for even more impressive stopping power. These performance upgrades elevate the new Vantage’s driving dynamics to unprecedented levels of exhilaration and precision.
Aston Martin enthusiasts can personalize their new Vantage with various options, including bespoke paint finishes, alloy wheel designs, lightweight carbon fiber seats, and carbon ceramic brakes.
Competing with top contenders like the Ferrari Roma, Porsche 911, Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe, and BMW M8, the Vantage promises enhanced performance, craftsmanship, and customizable features to stand out in the luxury sports car segment.
