Apple, as usual, is always surrounded by a dense layer of rumors and leaks. The latest one corroborates previous reports suggesting Apple is expected to showcase new iPad Air and iPad Pro models. Each model has two screen sizes and we have our hands on both current and upcoming dimensions.

2024 iPad Air and iPad Pro Coming This March

For those who stick to tech news, it isn’t surprising that Apple is cooking new iPads to debut this March (at least that’s the timeline we are aware of as of now).

Apple is reportedly working on two versions of iPad Air aptly codenamed J507 and J537. One of the versions (J507, likely) takes the same dimensions as the current iPad Air at 247.6 x 178.5 x 6.1mm with a 10.9” display. Adding onto that, Apple is reportedly working on a second version codenamed J537 with a larger 12.9” display. It is the largest Air to date with dimensions of 280.6 x 214.9 x 6mm.

2024 iPad Pro roundup

What’s intriguing is the dimensions of two iPad Pro models at 11” and 12.9”. For starters, we already have an 11” iPad Pro, and the 2024 upgrade will carry the same dimensions as 249.7 x 177.5 x 5.1mm. However, the larger 12.9” iPad Pro gets dimensions of 281.5 x 215.5 x 5mm. If you compare these dimensions with the previous 2020 12.9” iPad Pro, you will notice the latest version is considerably thin by 1.4mm which is a huge number in this context thanks to the OLED panel upgrade.

On the specs end, iPad Airs are likely to find themselves either with M2 or M3 chips as per the rumors. On the other hand, iPad Pro models upgrade to M3 chip for sure.

Apple is anticipated to hold a special launch event in March to announce a new line of products including the aforementioned iPad Airs and iPad Pros.
